Commonwealth Games 2022: The strong performance of Indian players continues in the Commonwealth Games 2022 being played in Birmingham. Indian wrestlers have made a splash in wrestling. Indian wrestlers have won 6 gold medals in two days. Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Ravi Kumar Dahiya has won gold medal in Commonwealth Games. This is his first Commonwealth Games medal. Dahiya has won his first gold medal. In the 57kg freestyle final, Ravi Dahiya defeated Abikevenimo Wilson of Nigeria 1-0. Dahiya won the match within 10 minutes.

Vinesh Phogat-Naveen won gold

Wrestler Vinsh Phogat has won his third gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. She defeated Keshani Maduravalge of Sri Lanka 4-0 in the 53kg category. Vinesh Phogat also won gold medal in 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Apart from this, Naveen got India a gold medal. He defeated Sharif Tahir of Pakistan 9-0 in the final of the 74kg category. Earlier, on the 8th day of the Commonwealth Games, Bajrang Punia, Deepak Punai, Sakshi Malik gave India a gold medal. Earlier, Anshu Malik had won the silver medal. Pooja Sihag, Pooja Gehlot, Deepak Nehra, Mohit Grewal, Divya Kakran won bronze medals. India has so far won 12 medals in wrestling.

Bhavna Patel won gold medal

Indian players were seen in Para Table Tennis. Bhavna Patel has given India its 13th gold medal. Bhavna Patel won the gold medal by defeating Nigeria 3-0. Bhavna Patel also won silver medal in Tokyo Olympics.

Apart from this, Indian player Sonalben Patel has won bronze medal in Para Table Tennis in Commonwealth Games. She defeated Sue Bailey of England 3-0 in a 3-5 match to win the Bonj Medal.
