Mohammed Shami Team India T20 World Cup 2022: With the T20 World Cup 2022 just days away, there are reports that India’s star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been injured. Former Indian cricketer Saba Karim has expressed a clear opinion that Mohammed Shami should get a chance to replace Bumrah in the World Cup.
PTI quoted BCCI sources as saying that according to information revealed on Thursday (September 29), Jasprit Bumrah has a back injury and will not play in the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia next month. After that Siraj has got a chance to replace Bumrah for the remaining matches of the tour of South Africa. Shami missed the tour due to Corona virus and now it has come to light that his Kovid test has come negative. Meanwhile, Shami is yet to play international T20 cricket matches after the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last year.
Meanwhile, talking about giving a chance to Shami in place of Bumrah, Karim said, ‘Bumrah is a special bowler. T20 cricket needs bowlers who can take early wickets and bowl well in the final death overs. Bumrah has also done the same. For the last few years and his departure is a huge loss for the Indian team. There may be a blow. So, I think Shami would be a good replacement for Bumrah. Whenever he gets a chance, he has given his best. He can take early wickets and can also take wickets in the powerplays.”

Two fast bowlers Deepak Chahar and Mohammed Shami are among the reserve players for the T20 World Cup.
